ABSTRACT
The paper shows using experimental measurements how the noise barrier can reduce the noise level. Main contribution of noise levels in suburban areas is given today by highway traffic. The parameter used to evaluate the barrier efficiency is insertion loss. Keywords: Traffic noise, noise barrier, insertion loss, sound measurement
