ABSTRACT

Purification of the mixture of hydrogen isotopes from traces of oxygen, nitrogen and other impurities is required in the case of a tritium separation plant and in particular for the cryogenic distillation module. The lower the impurity content, the lower the likelihood of freezing/blocking the technological feeds of cryogenic distillation columns. At the same time, these impurities once penetrated into the distillation columns will directly interfere with the distillation process.

Keywords: cryo-adsorption, hydrogen isotopes.
