ABSTRACT

For the control/regulating, monitoring and acquisition process parameters of cryogenic distillation system from “Pilot Plant For Tritium And Deuterium Separation“ (PESTD) ICSI Rm. Valcea it is used a concept based on DCS and SCADA application software. All information collected from field is displayed on the operator workstations alloying the operators to monitor and control all the parameters. To control pumps, control valves and electric heaters, dedicated faceplates were developed. Equipment states, authorizations, interlocks and alarms are also displayed on operator screens. This new system respond to updated requirements for PESTD related to new process configuration, safety, control of an industrial process. The result of the work is complex as cryogenic distillation process is complex and can be used to any similar technology. The expertise will be used to complete PESTD control, as ICSI scope of work.

Keywords: DCS, SCADA, PESTD.
