ABSTRACT
Using the exergoeconomic analysis in the design of cryogenic cycles is very effective especially in terms of the second principle of thermodynamics. Design phase of a cryogenic plant is decisive in achieving of well-established project objectives. Exergoeconomic analysis allows comparison of several possible design solutions in economic and energetic terms. This paper aims to present a practical application of design cycles of compression systems used in cryogenic plants for tritium and deuterium separation. Calculation methods presented in this paper can be used for other components of the cycle. At the design stage is very easy to change certain components of the cycle depending on the evolution of design data or budget available. This type of analysis can embed in the financial part the environmental expenses or other. This application can be very useful in the research projects in which changes are often inevitable.
