ABSTRACT

Nowadays there are many ways for conferring the desired aesthetic aspect to the product. The science and imagination of technologists and creators is endless and the possibilities of colouring and decorations are unlimited.

The work’s goal is an experimental study directed to process some coating materials with protecting and decorative role for bone china.

Researches had been made for improvement of production recipes of  tin oxide–based pink and cherry-colored pigments and elaboration of recipes for new violet pigments with same base have been worked out. Tin content is reduced to the old ways with more than 40% in terms of obtaining the appropriate colours.

KEYWORDS: ceramics, tin oxide, bone china.
